FAQ

  • Q Can you help make my product compliant with FDA and LFGB?

    A
Yes. We design for compliance from the start. Our material selection, structural engineering, and mold design choices are all influenced by the regulatory requirements of your target market. We coordinate third-party compliance testing through SGS, Intertek, or Bureau Veritas, and provide the test reports needed for market entry.

  • Q How much does mold tooling cost?

    A
Mold cost depends on product complexity, number of cavities, and material. Simple single-cavity molds typically start from USD 800–1,500. Complex multi-cavity molds for high-volume products may cost significantly more. We provide a full mold cost breakdown in the quotation.

  • Q Who owns the mold after the ODM project is complete?

    A
Mold ownership is agreed in the contract. We offer full mold ownership transfer to the client, which means exclusivity — we will not manufacture that product for any other client. Alternatively, clients can choose a shared mold arrangement with lower tooling cost. We advise on the best structure for your situation.

  • Q What do I need to provide to start an ODM project?

    A
A concept description, rough sketch, reference product, or any combination of these. The more detail you provide, the more accurate our initial feasibility and cost assessment will be — but we have worked from very early-stage ideas. Our engineering team will ask the right questions to fill in the gaps.

  • Q How long does OEM mass production take?

    A
Standard OEM production (using existing or approved molds) takes 15–35 working days depending on order volume and current production scheduling. We assign a dedicated project manager to every order who provides production milestone updates throughout.

  • Q What is included in the OEM sample fee?

    A
Sample fees cover materials, tooling modifications, production labor, and shipping. If you proceed to mass production, sample costs are typically credited against the production order. We confirm the sample fee and refund policy in the quotation.

  • Q Can you match my exact brand color?

    A
Yes. We use the Pantone color card system for all silicone color matching. Submit your Pantone reference code and we produce to match, with a standard tolerance of ΔE ≤ 1.5. If you don't have a Pantone code, we can work from a physical color sample.

  • Q How do I protect my design during the OEM process?

    A
We sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before reviewing any proprietary designs or concepts. Our standard NDA covers design confidentiality, mold exclusivity, and non-replication of client-specific products. Mold ownership can be assigned to the client as part of the contract.

  • Q Do I need to provide a technical drawing for OEM?

    A
Not necessarily. You can provide a reference sample, a sketch, a product description, or photos of a similar product. Our engineering team reviews feasibility and produces technical drawings as part of the quotation process. Detailed drawings help us quote more accurately and reduce revision rounds.

  • Q What is the OEM minimum order quantity at Mitour Silicone?

    A
Our OEM minimum order quantity (MOQ) starts at 300 units. For products using our existing molds, this applies immediately. For products requiring new mold development, the MOQ may be higher depending on product complexity — we confirm this at the quotation stage.

Mitour Silicone (Shenzhen Yuanfeng Xingye Technology Co., Ltd.) has been engineering precision silicone products for the world's most demanding brands.
