The entire product — plate walls, divider sections, suction base, and owl face outline — is molded as one continuous piece of food-grade silicone. There is no placemat to remove, no plate to separate, and no seam between components where food or bacteria can accumulate.
The owl face design is functional: the two circular "eye" sections are sized for small finger foods, fruit portions, and sauces, while the larger lower section holds the main food portion. The curved interior walls of each section make it easier for a toddler to scoop food onto a spoon without it escaping.

1. How does the full-base suction work — and can a toddler break it?
The entire flat bottom of the 285mm round base creates a vacuum seal against smooth surfaces. A toddler cannot generate enough upward force to break the seal; however, they can peel an edge if they find the lip. On smooth highchair trays or tables, this plate stays fixed through normal pushing and spoon use. It releases cleanly when an adult presses a thumb under the rim edge.
2. Is this a plate, a placemat, or both — and does it matter for retail labeling?
It functions as both: the outer silicone perimeter acts as a placemat (catches spills), and the raised interior sections form the plate. It is molded as a single piece. For retail labeling, buyers typically describe it as a "silicone baby placemat plate" or "suction plate with integrated placemat" — both are accurate. 3. What ages is this product appropriate for?
The 3-section divided format and the physical size (285mm) are suited for toddlers in the finger food and early self-feeding stage — roughly 6 months to 3 years. The plate is too large to be appropriate as an infant bowl and is positioned as a step up from the smaller suction bowl.
4. Can I order custom colors or a custom animal shape?
Yes to both. Custom Pantone colors on the existing owl mold require 7–15 days from order confirmation. A fully custom character shape (different animal or brand character) requires new mold development at 25–35 days. Mold ownership transfers to the buyer after full mold investment.
5. Is the plate oven-safe for warming food?
Yes, up to 240°C — the plate can go in a conventional or convection oven for warming. It cannot be used on a stovetop or under a direct broiler flame. For microwave reheating (the most common use case), it is fully safe with no metal components.
6. What certifications does this product hold?
FDA (US food-contact compliance) and BPA Free. For EU market buyers, LFGB testing is available on request. The product has been tested to confirm no migration of harmful substances across its operating temperature range.
